HOA-OIP Marks International Day of Peace 2025 in Moyale

Yesterday(21st September 2025), the Horn of Africa Organization for Indigenous People (HOA-OIP) proudly joined the global community in commemorating the International Day of Peace 2025 in Moyale Sub-County, under the theme “Action for Peace: Our Ambition for the Global Goals.”

For HOA-OIP, this occasion reaffirmed our belief that peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the very foundation of justice, sustainable development, and human dignity. It is a call to individuals, communities, and leaders alike to foster harmony, inclusivity, and mutual respect in shaping a brighter future for all.

The celebration in Moyale brought together local stakeholders and development partners for a series of meaningful activities, including tree planting and intergenerational dialogues. These sessions engaged elders, youth, and women leaders in discussing practical pathways to strengthen peace and unity in the region.

As an organization committed to promoting peace and coexistence, we recognize that true and lasting peace in the Horn of Africa can only be achieved through collective action, dialogue, and addressing the root causes of division among communities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all partners and community members whose support made this event possible. Your collaboration demonstrates that peace is a shared responsibility, and together we can transform our collective ambition for peace into sustainable action for generations to come.
