On September 11, 2025, the Horn of Africa Organization for Indigenous People (HOA Indigenous), with support from our partner Resource Conflict Institute (RECONCILE), facilitated community land dialogue sessions in Godoma and Watiti villages.
The sessions brought together members of both communities, creating a safe space for open dialogue on land management and sustainable use of natural resources. Participants actively shared their perspectives, voiced concerns, and expressed appreciation for the initiative.
Importantly, the communities pledged their full support for ongoing efforts to promote sustainable land use and inclusive decision-making. This milestone marks our ongoing commitment to community-driven development and creating lasting solutions to land-related challenges in the region.
