We have a working Board Members with professionals from diverse background. The members of the Board are driven by the commitments to empower the communities through sustainable community-driven development interventions.

The Board provides oversight in the organisation by providing strategic and policy direction to the organisation. The Board also ensures that the organisation is adequately resourced.

Management Staff

We have a team of skilled and experienced professionals who are capable of carrying out all of the desired activities that promote the organization’s goals and objectives.  We also have a team of consultants and project managers.

Mohamed Issack Nyuko

Executive Director
Mohamed is a dedicated public administrator with over 10 years of experience in social development and community empowerment. Holding a bachelor's degree in development studies, and an MBA, he has successfully led initiatives to improve public services and uplift communities. His career is marked by leadership, integrity, and a strong commitment to fostering positive change in rural areas.

Galgallo Roba Guyo

Head of Program and Partnership
Galgallo Roba Guyo is an educator with a Bachelor of Education Arts from Mount Kenya University. He currently serves as a Civic Education Officer for the County Government of Marsabit. In addition to his professional role, Galgallo is actively involved in community development, holding leadership positions such as Director of Marsabit Botanical Garden, Program Director of the Indigenous Community Support Program, and President of the African Pastoralist Youth Initiative-Kenya Chapter. His work focuses on education, civic engagement, and supporting indigenous communities.

Ibrahim Issack Abdulla

Program Manager -Policy and Governance
Ibrahim is an experienced procurement and supply chain specialist with over 12 years in the industry. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain and an MBA in Strategic Management, both from Kenyan universities. Known for optimizing operations and aligning strategies with business goals, he is committed to professional growth and community development, making him a respected leader in his field.

Head of Finance
With over 6 years of experience in finance and administration, Ibrahim specializes in strategic planning, financial projections, and operational efficiency. He has a proven track record in creating growth strategies, optimizing budgets, and supporting teams to achieve financial goals while ensuring compliance. Skilled in risk management and cost reduction, Ibrahim is dedicated to driving revenue growth and enhancing organizational performance.

Hassan Omar Guyo

Program Manager Peace building and conflict resolution
Hassan Omar is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the security and peacebuilding sector. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Armed Conflict and Peace Studies from the University of Nairobi and has undergone extensive training in leadership, mediation, and conflict transformation. His career includes roles as Regional Team Leader for NCIC/Interpeace, Assistant Director of Cohesion for the County Government of Marsabit, and Inspector in the National Police Service. In addition to his formal roles, Hassan is a consultant, conflict analyst, and professional mediator, specializing in peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

Project officer -Gender Empowerment
Adan is a results-driven professional with over six years of experience managing complex humanitarian and development projects in Marsabit, focusing on Youth Empowerment, Disability Advocacy, Climate Change, and Human Rights. As a person with a disability, he is deeply committed to fostering positive change in vulnerable communities. Currently serving as a Field Mentor at BOMA, Adan excels in coordinating project participants, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and delivering successful outcomes. He is also the founder of the Moyale Disability Caucus CBO, where he advocates for the rights of people living with disabilities. His expertise includes knowledge management, donor-funded project management, and building collaborative partnerships.

Hussein Ismail Abagala

Project officer -Civic Engagement
Hussein Ismail Abagala is a seasoned development and civic educator with several years of experience working with Uraia Trust and other local NGOs. He has dedicated his career to promoting civic education and community development, leveraging his expertise to empower communities and foster positive social change.

Ali Mohamed Somo

Project officer -WASH
Ali is an experienced public health professional currently serving as the Senior Public Health Officer for Golbo Ward in Moyale Sub County, Marsabit County. With a strong background in community health, he has previously worked as a Community Health Officer at Nana Health Center and held roles in cartographic mapping and research with the Kenya Population Housing Census and the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics. His diverse experience, including a public health internship in Moyale Sub-County, has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of public health and community well-being.

Mulki Ibrahim

Administration Officer
Mulki Ibrahim is an experienced Administrative Officer with a Diploma in Business Administration and five years of expertise in managing office operations. Her background in business administration has equipped her with the skills necessary to ensure efficient office management, handle administrative tasks, and support organizational goals.

Eugene Luvaha

Digital & IT Expert
Eugene is an IT professional with two years of experience in the industry, specializing in digital marketing and IT technical support. As the CEO of Luvah Tech Solutions, he has honed his skills in managing digital strategies and providing technical services. Now serving as our Digital Expert, Eugene leverages his expertise in digital marketing and IT support to advance the technological and digital initiatives within our NGO, ensuring we stay ahead in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
